Why I Voted 'NO' ...The Emporer's New Clothes - 08/21/2007
It seems to be a classic case of "the Emporer has no clothes". Even though WebRing has dropped from 1048516 total sites a year ago to 692203 (notice they hide the system stats now), everyone at WebRing must be telling the Emporer that this slim new look is GREAT! I am convinced they don't feel there is a problem...or if they realize it, they don't think their actions are the cause. Besides, why would they listen to the peasantry...what do they know? To WebRing's defense...they are trying to innovate and make it financially viable site. Perhaps someday, they will listen when the peasants say that we can see more than the Emporer's crown.

Yes, it seems to be a case of listening to only what they want to hear, and that's too bad. Honest criticism is a useful tool when accepted and used as a tool. Those that can't handle criticism are not going to grow well. Changes can be a great motivator, but when done at the expense of the members, many of whom are still attempting to stay loyal, where's the motivation? With managers being thrown off their own sites, and not knowing who's next, the spirit has died.
