This is an open discussion forum for users to discuss WebRing features, wishes, thoughts, etc. QUESTIONS about and PROBLEMS with the System should be posted in detail using the support forums in Help. Negative, derogatory or personal comments will be deleted. Sadly, due to spamming and anonymous trashing of other users we have had to restrict posting to signed in members.

Is there anything against multiple accounts? - 10/06/2006
Iím not sure if it goes against the WebRings past, present, or future terms of service.. but are users permitted to have more than one account on webring?

Replied - 10/06/2006
Past - definitely not. Count the number of memberships Andrea has, quite openly acknowledging that these memberships are all hers, and then notice her good friend crimsoneldritch has even more. Precedent is well established on this point - multiple memberships have been allowed.

Future - Best guess is that there will be something against having multiple accounts, as doing so could be seen as an attempt to circumvent the restrictions on free memberships, and because Webring has shown that it has no respect for the traditional notion of "being grandfathered in". For this and other reasons, I'm planning to remove all webring code from my sites this weekend. With these guys, who knows what they're going to do next?

The headaches being generated are not justified by the meager amount of traffic being delivered by the system. Note to Webring - as per comments made in this forum, this is public notice that any and all bills from you for services rendered are refused. I am not giving you people a cent.
