How do I get register the id of my choice? - 12/05/2003
In the ring, I notice a certain id number is not being taken. I am trying to register a site to get that id but it seems not to be working. It worked on my other rings. Is there certain steps I need to note?

In the WebRing.com system, you do not get to control the ID Number assigned to your membership in any particular webring.

Your membership is managed through your WebRing.com User ID.

When you request membership in a particular webring, the system will choose the particular individual ID number for that particular webring.

Note that if you are using the JavaScript Server Side Navbars (SSNB) to deliver a stack of WebRing.com navbars to your page, the particular ID number for a particular webring is unimportant to you.

You would only code the ID Number for a particular webring if you were using HTML code on your page.

And, even in that case, you will not need that ID Number to access any details of your membership in that webring. All membership access is controlled through your WebRing.com User ID.
