A new ring member claimed to be creator . . .
Being the ringmaster of a newly created ring doesn't mean you will get no.1 in the ring. There are cases where the ringmaster doesn't have his own site for the ring. When he have a site later on, the ring could already be filled with several member sites.
Well, I created this ring: http://e.webring.com/hub?ring=siriusblack and I got the number one spot. Look for The Untold Tales of Harry Potter as that is my website that this ring was created for. I didn't have anyone join my group for about three weeks and I had no pending members either as my ring was brand new and there were no other members before me. I have decided to ignore her e-mails if she sends another one to me.
True, but if creating a ring in the correct manner you do get no.1 spot either for your site or the rings home page. It is necessary to enter a site URL when creating a ring so if entering a fake URL at that point and deleting it later then the no.1 spot will go to someone else.
Personally I see no point in creating a ring that you have no site for anyway...unless you're just adding to your collection of rings.
