Concerns regarding RMs loosing their rings PART ONE - 01/30/2004
This is not a new subject by no means but it keeps coming up in some forum or other.

The latest posts at the MR & TS Forum have prompted me to write about the concerns I have on this subject.

These posts can be read by visiting these URLs:

http://r.webring.com/forum?forum=ringhelp;did=2637#here
http://r.webring.com/forum?forum=ringhelp;did=2795#here

Anyway, I shall draw on my own situation to talk about this subject.

After I saw these two posts I visited Andrea's wrug and read the information which Andrea has very kindly provided on this topic.

For sometime there has been some sort of a problem with emails coming from WebRing.com. Personally I was not receiving forum posts, new applications or BCCs that I became aware of. There may have been other email I did not receive but unlike the above which I could check, these I have not been able to check if it occurred.

To add to the above mentioned email problems, which to a large extent have been resolved, though for me not fully. On 22 Jan 2004 I received a message from WebRing.com, Subject: sagenme, your WebRing showdogs, has pending applicants

This message gave three possible categories which I fall into:

a. You have been inactive for 30 or more days and you have pending submissions
b. The navigation rating of the Ring has fallen below 50%(fewer than half of the sites have working navigation code on the registered URL.
c. The Ring has more than 3 pending submissions.

I replied 23 Jan 2004:

a. I know I have logged in within the last 30 days :o)

b. The navigation rating is 99 :o)

c. Presently I have 3 pending sites. One was received 19 Jan 2004, the other two were received 21 Jan 2004.

continued next post....

Nearly Cheers
Sally J :o)
